Did you try our wellbeing sessions in partnership with Urban? They’ve been the latest innovation from Residently to look after our Residents, especially through lockdown.
At Residently, we’re on a mission to provide an effortless home rental experience. The helpful services we provide through the Residently app already include cleaning, laundry and shopping pick-up, but during lockdown we know that your needs have changed.
Being stuck in our homes over the last few weeks has made it very difficult to get the exercise we need for mental and physical wellbeing. To help out, we moved swiftly to offer all our Residents two free live-streamed classes per week from Urban, the wellness and mindfulness experts. The classes included yoga, bodyweight training, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT).
Lockdown can be stressful, there’s no doubt about it, but exercise is a proven way to reduce stress. Normally, many of us have gym memberships or regular classes to maintain a healthy body and mind but those businesses are on pause right now and we’ve been told to stay indoors where we can.
While full restrictions were in place, we wanted to step in and provide a solution. We expanded the services on the Residently app allowing Residents to book in and pre-schedule Urban virtual classes throughout the week. We couldn’t replace all the benefits of hanging with your friends on a Thursday yoga class after work, but we did help our Residents shake off the cabin fever with live classes that connected them with experts in real-time, not just stale old YouTube videos. Thankfully, restrictions have been lifted slightly now, enabling us all to exercise more frequently outside.
Our free Urban classes ran for eight weeks between March and May and we know you enjoyed the new service because we had great feedback! Resident Louise from Camden told us: “The instructor is very good… just the right amount of intensity and fun.” Stacey and Karl from Southwark said: “The expert Tag was great, super energetic and with attention to our form - it was very motivating!” If you have any more feedback, let us know.
